How does this offline QR Code Generator work?
Most QR code generators on the web send your text or URLs to a backend server, generate an image, and send it back. This compromises your privacy and allows companies to track the links you are creating.
TabKit Tools uses a client-side JavaScript library. The moment you type in the box, your browser's CPU calculates the matrix and draws the barcode locally on an HTML5 canvas. It happens in milliseconds, and no server ever sees your data.
Smart Phone Number Detection
If you type a phone number, the tool automatically detects it and gives you the option to encode it using the tel: URI scheme. This ensures that when someone scans the QR code with their mobile phone camera, it immediately opens their phone app's dialer with the number pre-filled.
